2 killed, 30 hurt as bus plunges into road side field
Chennai, Nov 10 (UNI) Two people were killed and 30 others injured when a Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation bus plunged into a road side dry field and overturned at Boodhapandi in Kanniyakumari district today.
Police said the bus, carrying 60 passengers, was on its way to Nagercoil from Kanniyakumari when the accident occurred.
The bus driver lost control while trying to avoid a cyclist and the bus plunged into the dry field, killing two people, including a school teacher on the spot.
The injured were admitted to government hospital, police added.
