Woman commits suicide along with 3-month-old daughter

Ahmedabad, Nov 9 (UNI) A woman, with her three-month-old daughter in her arms, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of the oncoming Vadodara Memu train at Maninangar railway station today.

Another 5-year-old daughter, Devanshi, who was also with Renuka Devendra Yadav (30), sustained serious injuries.

She has been admitted to the civil hospital, where her condition was stated to be critical. The bodies of the woman and the infant were recovered by the Railway police.

According to police, the incident occurred around noon. Renuka took the extreme step after strained relations with her in-laws.

Police have registered a case of suicide and further investigation was on.
