AP: TDP demands judicial probe into murder
Hyderabad, Nov 9: Opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday, Nov 9 demanded a judicial inquiry into the circumstances leading to the killing of Moddu Sreenu, main accused in TDP legislator Paritala Ravindra murder, in Ananthapur jail on Sunday, Nov 9. Addressing a press conference here he alleged that the state government was involved in the incident.
He also charged that the murder was to erase the evidences in the Paritala murder case, in which Sreenu was the main accused.
He claimed that the Chief Minister and Home Minister K.Jana Reddy had no right to continue in the government.
The TDP would send a fact finding committee to Ananthapur, he added.
He demanded that the postmortem of Sreenu's body should be done by expert doctors and videographed with documentary evidence.
Andhra Pradesh unit CPI(M) Secretary B V Raghavulu demanded an inquiry by a sitting judge to unveil out the truth.
Communsit Party of India(CPI) state unit secretary K Narayana alleged that the murder was an indication of the poor mismanagement of jails in the state and the government should order a thorough inquiry into the incident.
