Maharashtrian in Karnal safe

Karnal, Nov 9 (UNI) In a statement issued here today, Kalpana Singh, hailing from Maharastra residing here for a decade declared that her family and other famililies hailing from Maharashtra, felt ''safe and secure''.

While reacting to a news reports regarding insecurity among Maharashtrians after she approached police recently complaining of intimidation by some youths due to family's being Maharashrian, she said that "We have no fear and threat from anyone.

She said that she was fully satisfied with the investigation of the police on the complaint by her on November 5.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of the police department stated that police was investigating the case and protection had been provided to the Maharashtrian family and policemen in plain clothes had also been deputed to keep strict vigil on the family.
