Congress blasts at JD(U) for levelling baseless allegation
Patna, Nov 9 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) today said the JD(U) was trying to mislead the masses by alleging that the Congress was responsible for the attacks against Hindi-speaking people in Maharashtra.
Working president of BPCC Sameer Kumar Singh said here that state JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh was totally 'irresponsible' in charging the Congress with 'hands in glove' behind the attacks against Hindi speaking people living in Maharashtra.
Mr Singh said the JD(U) should come out with evidence to substantiate its charge or issue an 'apology' for making wild allegations without having any proof.
''Such allegations levelled by the JD(U) against the Congress was nothing but a desperate move to hide the failure of the NDA government in Bihar'', he added.
The Congress leader dubbed the enmasse resignation of JD(U) MPs on the issue of violence against Biharis in Maharashtra was nothing but a poltical drama for electoral gain in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
