Cannabis worth Rs 97.5 lakh seized in Meghalaya
Shillong, Nov 9 (UNI) Custom sleuths seized as many as 105 packets of compressed cannabis weighing 1,950 kg in Meghalaya, officials said today.
The packets were seized from a stationary truck near Mynkre village of the state's Jaintia Hills district, officials said, adding the street value of the contraband was estimated to be Rs 97.5 lakh.
No one was arrested in this connection, but the truck was seized under the purview of the NDPS Act 1985, officials added.
