Three ultras killed, infiltration bid foiled in Poonch
Jammu, Nov 8 (UNI) Security forces today gunned down three militants and foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sabzian Sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
''The troops noticed a group of militants sneaking into the Indian territory via CRP Dhok Post of Sabzian sub-sector during the wee hours,'' sources told UNI.
However, the Border Security Force (BSF) and army troops challenged the militants who opened the fire, which was retaliated by the security forces.
''Three militants were killed in exchange of fire while a critically injured army personnel was hospitalised,'' they said.
Over 40 times for the last three months, militants have attempted to cross over to this side of the border while five army jawans have been killed so far in cross firing on the LoC in Poonch district alone.
