Student crushed by crane, mob blocks road

Sultanpur, Nov 8 (UNI) An unruly mob blocked Ballia-Sultanpur road for some hours after a minor student was crushed by a crane in Motigarpur area here today.

The incident took place when the boy, student of standard nine, was proceeding towards his school at Hasapur Kanwara village.

Wherein, he was hit by the crane and he died on the spot, police said.

Later, an enraged mob created ruckus after keeping his body in the middle of the road.

Police had to even resort to lathicharge to control the situation, in which some people sustained injuries.

The agitators could only be pacified after district administration assured financial help to the bereaved family.
