Silver opens low on bullish advice

Mumbai, Nov 8: Silver on Saturday, Nov 8 opened low at Rs 17,470, down by Rs 25 per kg, on lack of fresh demand, while gold surged by Rs five at Rs 11,675 on improved demand by ornament makers, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade: Rs 17,470 Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity: Rs 11,675 Pure gold 99.9 purity: Rs 11,735.
