Shiksha Rattan Award to JCD Director General

Hisar, Nov 8 (UNI) This year's prestigious 'Shiksha Ratna' award would be given to internationally acclaimed scientist and Director General of JCD Vidyapeeth Sirsa, Prof Kuldip Singh Dhindsa.

According to a communication today from the Secretary General of India International Friendship Society, the award was being given to Dr. Dhindsa in recognition to his ''valuable services in the field of education, especially for his role in promotion of science and scientific temperament''.

During his career spanning over past 40 years, Dr Dhindsa has significantly contributed to the extension of education in the fields of basic, technical and professional education.

The The award shall be conferred on Dr Dhindsa at a function to be held in New Delhi on November 18.
