Malhotra files nomination paper for GK seat
New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) The BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi, Prof V K Malhotra today filed his nomination papers from the Greater Kailash constituency for the November 29 Assembly elections.
He was accompanied by party colleagues Arun Jaitly, Sushma Swaraj, party state chief Harsh Vardhan and former Union Minister Vijay Goel, as he went to Jamnagar House on Shahjahan Road, to file his papers.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, his son Sukhbir Singh Badal, former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra were also present on the occasion.
Party activists were seen cheering him, waving BJP's flags.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Badal appealed to the Sikh Community to vote for the BJP and the Akali Dal combine. ''A real Sikh will never vote for the Congress,'' he said.
Addressing his supporters, Mr Malhotra claimed that his party will overthrow the ''inefficient and corrupt'' regime of Sheila Dikshit by at least two-thirds majority.
Accusing the Congress government of being non-developmental, corrupt and pro-scam, he said the common man (aam admi) was most neglected during the past ten years.
''Ms
Dikshit
has
failed
to
perform
in
the
matters
of
light,
water,
road,
education,
JJ
cluster
matters
and
law

he
said
and
wondered
how
