CPI(M) releases list of five candidate for J
Srinagar, Nov 8 (UNI) The CPI(M) today released the first list of five party candidates for the seven-phase assembly elections in the Jammu and Kashmir from November 17.
A spokesman of the party said the names of the candidates were selected by the party, which had two members in the 87-member dissolved house.
He said Ghulam Nabi Malik will contest from Dooru, Mohammad Yaqoob Ganie, Devsar, Mohammad Amin Dar, Homshalibugh, and Mohammad Khalil Naik from Wachi assembly segments in south Kashmir.
Mr Mahinder Singh has been given the mandate from Kathua segment, he said, adding the second list of party nominees would be released in a couple of days.
