Cognizance taken against Mayor for using beacon light on vehicle

Gaya, Nov 8 (UNI) A local court today took cognizance against Mayor and Deputy Mayor besides others for using beacon lights on their vehicles violating the provision of Motor Vehicles Act.

Chief Judicial Magistrate B N Pandey took cogzinance against Mayor Lalita Devi and Deputy Mayor Akhauri Onkarnath Srivastav for their alleged violation of the Act as they used beacon lights on their vehicles despite instruction by concerned authorities against such use.

The cognizance was also taken by the court against district board president of Gaya Sobha Sinha for similar charge.
