Burglar jumps to death after being caught
Rajkot, Nov 8 (UNI) A young thief jumped to death from the terrace of a residential quarters in the city on November six, when he was caught stealing iron pipes.
Police said a group of three robbers had gone to Akashwani Quarters to steal iron pipes lying on the terrace on last Thursday night. When the residents of the quarters spotted the thieves after they woke up hearing the noise, they asked the thieves to get down.
Realising they were trapped from all sides, one of the panic stricken thieves, identified as Suresh Barot, jumped from the terrace in a bid to flee but lost his life, while his two accomplices, Nitin Gohel and Jayesh Rathod, were nabbed and handed over to the police, they added.
