Bomb hoax creates panic at polytechnic

Hubli, Karnataka, Nov 8 (UNI) A bomb hoax in a local polytechnic created fear and anxiety today when the students were in class.

A telephone call from unknown sources informed the polytechnic authorities of a bomb being planted in a corner of the building.

All the students and staff of the institute rushed out of the building for safety.

The police rushed to the spot with sniffer dog squad and searched the entire building but of no avail.

This is the third time such a call had been made in the last one week. Earlier, a local school got a bomb scare followed by another.

In all these cases, the police came to the conclusion that it might be the act of some miscreants.
