BJP stages protest march for Centre's failure on terrorism
Patna, Nov 8 (UNI) The BJP today staged a protest march to Raj Bhawan against the failure of the Congress-led UPA Government in curbing the growing terrorism in several parts of the country.
The protest march was led by state party president Radha Mohan Singh, who along with other senior leaders met Bihar Governor R L Bhatia and submitted a memorandum demanding the Centre to take concrete steps to curb terror activities in different parts of the country.
The BJP leaders lamented that the Centre deliberately allowed POTA to lapse which was earlier enacted by the then Vajpayee Government at the Centre.
In the absence of any such stringent law to deal with terrorism, the disruptive forces were engaged in gory incidents posing a serious threat to the unity and integrity of the nation, the leaders added.
The BJP demanded from the Centre to take pro-active action against the disruptive forces and destroy all the training camps where terrorists were being trained to attack vital installations with sophisticated explosives.
The Centre should also enact a stringent law to curb terrorism without further loss of time, the leaders stated.
