Arun Kumar Vij elected executive member of FCA

Patiala, Nov 8 (UNI) Mr Arun Kumar Vij, Secretary-General of Fencing Association of India (FAI) and Vice-President of Commonwealth Fencing Federation (CFF) has been elected as Executive Member of Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA) during elections held on October 26 in Yanggu City, Korea.

One Executive Member each from Kuwait, Singapore and Thailand were also elected to the post.

Mr Vij is the first person from the SAARC countries to be elected for the coveted post.

Members from thritythree countries attended the election meeting.

Celso Dayrit of the Philippines was elected President, while Ali Raza of Iran was elected Secretary of (FCA).
