Jammu Kashmir: Army traps militants in Doda hills

Doda, Jammu, Nov 8: A fierce gun-battle started between Army troops and militants early today at Bagwah area, about 20 kms from Doda district headquarters, official sources said.

''Troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) have trapped some militants at Bimna in Bagwah area and heavy firing is going on since wee hours,'' an official sources told UNI.

As per reports, two to four heavily armed militants were firing at the troops from a hide out.

''Security forces have cordoned the area and plugged the entire possible escape routes for the militants,'' the source said.

However, the identity of the militants holed up in the hideout has not been ascertained.
