Allahabad-based businessman shot in Chandni Chowk
New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) A businessman was allegedly shot by two motorcycle-borne men in busy Chandni Chowk area of North Delhi.
Fourty-year-old Ashok Pal, a resident of Allahabad was on his way to Lajpat Rai market on a rickshaw last night, when two men on a motorcycle fired several shots at him, police said.
However, he received one bullet in his stomach and is presently admitted to the LNJP hospital in a critical condition.
His statement is yet to be taken as his condition does not permit.
The rickshaw puller was also injured by stray pellets but has been discharged from the hospital.
Investigations were on to ascertain the cause of the firing but no arrests have been made so far, police added.
