8 killed, 23 injured as mini-bus plunges into river
Latur (Maharashtra) Nov 7 (UNI) As many as eight people were killed and other 23 injured when a private mini-bus fell into Manjara river from bridge, about eight km away from Latur city tonight.
The incident occured around 2030 hours.
Police sources said the driver of the mini luxury bus, which was proceeding to Ambaejogai town in Beed distict from Latur city, lost his control on wheel and plunged into 40 ft deep river after dashing the ralling of the bridge.
Police Superidendent of Latur district Sanjay Latkar and District Collector Eknath Dawale rushed to the spot.
Injured people have been admitted in Latur civil hospital, police added.
