Vigilance files cases against 12 engineers

Patna, Nov 7 (UNI) The vigilance bureau has filed cases against 12 engineers, including two executive engineers, in connection with misappropriation of funds meant for repair of Baruane zamindari bund in Pandarak block of this district.

Official sources said as per the case lodged at the vigilance police station, the accused embezzled Rs 21.02 lakh without performing the work assigned for repair of the bund.

The two executive engineers whose names figured in the FIR are Sachchidanand Singh and Shyam Narayan Singh while two assistant engineers accused in the case are Ashok Kumar Singh and Arun Kumar Dwedi. Eight others are junior engineers.
