Thackeray to attend Manpada police station tomorrow

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray will be present at the Manpada police station at Dombivli in neighbouring Thane district tomorrow, following a court's directive.

On Sunday, he will attend the Government Railway Police (GRP) office at Kalyan Railway police station in connection with a case registered against him there, Sandeep Deshpande, an office-bearer of the party, told UNI here today.

It may recalled that Mr Thackeray was released on bail by the Kalyan court in Manpada police station case. He was also granted interim relief till November 11 by the same court in a GRP case.

Railway Police have registered the case against him for the alleged rampage and assault by his party activists on North Indian candidates at the station who had come to appear for the Railway Board Examination on October 19.

More than 55 cases have been registered against Mr Thackeray under verious sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including assault, giving provoking speeches or giving interviews to mediapersons and threatening.
