Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju receives award

Hyderabad, Nov 7(UNI) Satyam Computer Services Ltd, a leading global consulting and information technology services provider, announced today that it's founder and chairman, Ramalinga Raju has received the prestigious Frost&Sullivan Excellence in Leadership Award for 2008.

Raju was appointed in recognition of his dynamic vision, growth strategies and its implementation, that has driven the performance of both Satyam and its social corporate responsibility arm, the Satyam Foundation.

''I am delighted by this award which underscores Satyam Foundation's guiding philosophy to continue to be the contributing members of the social and economic communities they inhabit. Today, businesses have a greater role to play in creating a cohesive environment which values development both within the workplace and society,'' Ramalinga Raju said in a statement.

The recipient of numerous awards itself, the Satyam Foundation is the largest voluntary non-government organisation in India.
