Raj Thackeray files reply on court notice
Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray today filed his reply in the Vikhroli Magistrate court on a showcause notice issued to him by the court for flouting the condition laid down by it while granting him bail in February this year.
In the notice, the court had asked why the bail granted to Thackeray in a case related to his alleged statements against North Indians in February should not be cancelled.
Thereafter, the Magistrate fixed November 18 as the date for the hearing on the petition.
Earlier, on October 22, the prosecution had moved an application before the Magistrate's court in Vikhroli seeking the cancellation of Thackeray's bail in the case, a day after he was arrested from Ratnagiri in connection with the attack on north Indian candidates by MNS activists during a railway recruitment exam here on October 19.
