Development is key issue : Chouhan
Indore, Nov 7 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that he would contest the assembly polls on the development issue.
Mr Chouhan was talking to the mediaperson on the occasion of filing nomination by state's Public Constructions Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya in MHOW constituency.
Claiming no nook and corner in the state has left from development during the three years of his tenure, he said that he will go among the public with the issue of development.
''The development of the area was stagnated due to the wrong policies of Congress,'' said the chief minister while replying to the query about the contesting of Mr Vijaywargiya's from MHOW constituency rather than his citadel Indore.
Talking on the dissidents after the declaration of candidates' list, he said that they were also a part of the party and prominent role would granted to them after polls.
Denying comment on the efforts of Mayawati and Uma Bharti in the hustings, he said that party was important not the person and the public would take decision in this regard.
''The statement made by former senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Sadhvi Pragya Singh, who was arrested in Maharashtra's Malegaon bomb blast case, is his personal statement and it cannot be seen by linking it with the party,'' he added.
