CPI stages demonstration demanding proper implementation of schemes

Hazaribagh, November 7 (UNI) Demanding proper implementation of Centre-sponsored welfare schemes and amendment of the Below Poverty List, the workers of CPI today staged a demonstration before the district court here.

The group of agitators led by party's state secretary and local M P Bhuvneshwar Mehta, blocked the main gate of the district court for about three hours.

Addressing the party workers, Mr Mehta said corruption prevailed in all government departments and people belonging to BPL had been marginalised.

Mr Mehta said similar agitation would be launched in the state capital next month if the state government failed to fulfill their demands.
