Borders adjoining Bastar to be sealed
Dantewara, Nov 7 (UNI) In view of the assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, borders in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Orissa adjoining Bastar region would be sealed.
The decision was taken during a meeting of senior police officials from Bastar and Andhra Pradesh at Kotagudum in Andhra Pradesh.
Superintendent of Police (Dantewara) Rahul Sharma said the meeting was attended by SP (Bijapur) Ankit Garg, Deputy Inspector General of Police T J Langkumer and senior police officials.
The meeting -- called on the directives of the Election Commission -- decided that coordination would be established among police officials to foil naxalite incidents.
He said police have started to nab criminals and against whom warrants had been issued.
