Bond between Govt, industry and academia important: NASSCOM Chairman
Bangalore, Nov 7 (UNI) In the wake of global economic slowdown, which has threatened to derail the industrial growth in the country, industry, government and academia should foster greater and stronger bonds, NASSCOM Chairman Ganesh Natarajan said today.
Speaking at the two-day National Convention of Material Managers (NATCOM-2008) here, he said there was no single formula that could rectify the problems thrown up by the global financial meltdown.
''The need of the hour is diversification and cultivating the right talent. We need to look at global delivery models that are driven by product, process or business innovation,'' he said.
''This could be done through collaboration from remote locations.
We need an ecosystem to come up in the country,'' he added.
In his address, Bosch Ltd Joint Managing Director Lakshmi Naranyan said to attain a sustainable development it was important to crate more employment in the manufacturing sector.
