Kolkata, Nov 7 (UNI) West Bengal Congress Legislature party leader Manas Bhuniya today termed Sunday's blasts at Salboni as ''pre-planned''.
The locals organised a function on the night of November one at a place which was just half a km away from the JSW's foundation laying site.
'' We are suspecting that the landmine blast incident was pre-planned because it was unbecoming on the part of the state government to allow such a function on the eve of the visit by the VVIPs,'' he stated.
He said the state government should not limit itself only to blame the Maoists, but also to find out the saboteurs.'' ''We have already demanded to the Centre for a CBI inquiry into the landmine blast,'' Mr Bhuiya said.
He informed that the Congress will gherao the District Magistrate office in West Midnapore to protest the attacks on his party workers by CPI(M) activists after the blasts.
Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Minister for Steel, Chemicals and Fertilisers Ramvilas Paswan had a close shave when a landmine exploded near Kalaichandi Khal as their convoy was passing through the area after the inauguration of the mega steel project at Salboni on November two.
