Bengaluru, Nov 7: With auto LPG stocks arriving finally, the shortage of the fuel eased a bit in the City. Eighty per cent of the LPG dispensing bunks that showed 'No Stock' boards, were ready with fresh stocks by Thursday, Nov 6.

Most autorickshaw drivers were relieved after three days of waiting. But still, queues could be seen in some bunks. Trucks, that had stayed away due to disagreement on payments, were back transporting the fuel to different bunks.

Some Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) petrol bunks, particularly a LPG dispensing outlet on St Mark's Road, had to work overtime to cater to the rush of autorickshaws in the last couple of days, as they could not get the fuel from bunks of other companies. Some drivers were keen to take additional stocks fearing further shortage.

With the shortage easing on Thursday, Nov 6, the auto unions were also relieved. Adarsha Auto Drivers Union president M Manjunath said, "Though the situation was better on Thursday, a few bunks on Mysore Road, still had shortage in supplies of LPG."
