Criminal and his wife lynched in Nadia dist

Krishnagar, Nov 6: A notorious criminal and his wife were lynched by villagers of Adityapur under Krishnaganj police station of Nadia district on Thursday, Nov 6 morning. Additional Superintendent of Police Subrata Mitra said Ashok Das and his wife Lakshmi Das were beaten to death by local residents.

Earlier, several cases had been filed against Ashok Das at Krishnaganj police station, accusing him of dacoity and molestation.

Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. An investigation has been started in the matter. However, no one has been arrested so far.
