Three killed, 2 injured as train smashes car

Bhavnagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Three people, including a child, were killed and two women seriously injured after their car was smashed by a speeding train at an unmanned railway crossing, near Ugamedi village in Botad taluka today.

According to police, the victims, all from the same family, were going to a nearby village in their car when the incident occurred.

The deceased have been identified as Jagdish Dungarani, Vinod Dungarani and the child Hardic Dungarani, while the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital here, the police added.

Police and Railway authorities have launched investigations into the mishap. This railway crossing has been unmanned for a very long time.
