Pondy Govt makes major shuffling of PCS officers
Puducherry, Nov 6 (UNI) In a major shuffle of Puducherry Civil Service (PCS) officers, the first after V Vaithilingam assumed office as the Chief Minister, the Puducherry administration changed the portfolios of 34 officers.
According to an official release here today, District Collector Thevaneethi Das was posted as the Managing Director of Puducherry Textile Corporation, while Director of School Education Ragesh Chandra was brought to the post of District Collector.
District registrar Sunderavadivelu was posted as Director of School Education and DRDA Project Director Mathew Samuel was posted as Director of Tourism Department.
Puducherry Road Transport Corporation Managing Director Panneerselvam was posted as the Director of Industries and Commerce Department, the release added.
The shuffle of the PCS officers was expected much earlier, with the Chief Minister already hinting about the reshuffle to ensure the smooth functioning of the administration.
