People's participation a must for development : CM
Hazaribagh, Nov 6 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren today appealed to the people, particularly to the youth, to get involved in government-sponsored project to ensure proper implementaion of the schemes.
Inaugurating two blocks - Tati Jharia and Kakamdag - in the district, Mr Soren said the blocks were being created not for ''loot and corruption'' and added the local peple should take note of all the projects, funded by the government.
'' If corruption takes place, the officers responsible will be booked but the the local youths should also take moral responsibilty for allowing corruption in the areas, '' he stated.
'' You monitor performance of the officers and lodge complaint, '' he told the crowd that gathered at the function.
Referring to poor agricultural scenario, he said thousands of acres had been remaining barren due to lack of irrigation and each BDO concerned should ensure cultivation in at least 200 acres.
