Pejawar Mutt to build free hostels for Dalits, Tribals

Mysore, Nov 6(UNI) The Pejawar Mutt in Udupi plans to build hostels for the benefit of Dalit, Tribal and Backward Community students under its social service project, Mutt Pontiff Vishveshwara Theertha Swamiji said today.

Speaking after laying a foundation-stone for a free-hostel, to be built by the Mutt, the Swamiji said such efforts would help students of oppressed classes to become valuable citizens of the country.

''The Mutt has planned to build several such hostels in various parts of the State,'' he added.
