Ousted communist leader lashes out CPI(M)
Agartala, Nov 6 (UNI) Former Tripura Assembly speaker and veteran communist leader Jitendra Sarkar who recently resigned from CPI(M), today charged Left in Tripura of loosing it's democracy.
Talking to media, Mr Sarkar said that rampant corruption and power hankering politics had become a major problem in the party, which forced him to snap relation with CPI(M) and join newly floated party, Dalit Samajtantrik Dal.
Mr Sarkar further alleged the Left of individualism as most of its ministers and leaders were involved in financial corruption.
'' There is no democracy in CPI(M) as if any body raises question, he is heckled because the party has become very autocratic in nature,'' he said.
Mr Sarkar was elected to the Assembly five times, since 1978, from the Teliamura constituency in west Tripura but had been dropped in the last election and finally he was ousted from the party last week.
