Newspaper agent held for violating Model Code of Conduct
Barwani, MP, Nov 6 (UNI) A newspaper agent was arrested today for violating Model Code of Conduct in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh by publishing a four-page political advertisement in the newspaper in this district's Sendhwa area, police said.
Ramesh Sharma was held for the crime but was bailed later by the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Sessions) Manoj Mandloi.
The advertisement showcased the development took place in the area in the last five years with the pictures of several ministers, including chief ministers, jails ministers.
Block Panachayat Sendhwa and more than 100 Loksewaks were the advertisers. Former Municipal Corporation Mayor Rajendra Motiyani and other Congressmen complained to the Election commission in this regard.
