Man arrested for carrying fake passport

Mangalore, Nov 6 (UNI) A person has been arrested by the Bajpe police at the Bajpe airport on the charges of using fake passport for travel.

The person named Ahsraf alias Samir from Shantiangady in Mooda village of Bantwal taluk was arrested by the Bajpe police who had arrived from Saudi Arabia yesterday. Ashraf was working in Saudi Arabia since last eight years. He was alleged to have succeeded in coming here, by using the fake passport, standing in the name of one Musiyulla Shariff from Shimoga. He arrived here by Air India Express flight via Doha Bahrain.

The immigration officials, who found out the fraud, handed over him to the police. He has since been remanded to judicial custody.
