Mah govt announces awards on information about corruption

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) In a novel way to eliminate corruption from the administration, the Maharashtra government has announced that those, giving information about the 'black money' earned by bureaucrats and their staff would get cash awards ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs two lakh.

The informer who gives information about the illegal property upto Rs 26 lakh held by them would get Rs 10,000, while a person giving information about property of Rs five crore or more would get Rs two lakh, an official release issued here said.

Secrecy will be maintained about the informer, the release added.
