Composite index of metals and energy fall

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) The composite index of metals and energy fell by 1.52 pc at 2058.77 points at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Metal also lost ground by 1.25 pc at 2209.43 points.

The Bullion contracts showed a negative trend. Gold December 08 contract was down by 0.34 pc to Rs 11520 per 10 grams.

Silver December 08 contract shrank by 0.76 pc to Rs 17034 per kg.

The Metals contracts also showed negative trend. Aluminum November 08 contract moved downward by 1.33 pc to Rs 96.20 per kg, copper April 09 contract by 3.97 pc to Rs 199.35 per kg, nickel November 08 contract by 23.52 pc to Rs 569.90 per kg.

Crude oil November 08 contract moved down by 3.05 pc to Rs 3085 per barrel.

Mentha oil February 09 contract moved down by 1.26 pc to Rs 518.20 per kg and jute November 08 contract by 0.60 pc to Rs 1585 per quintal, a MCX release said.
