Collector seeks cooperation for voters list renewal

Kozhikode, Nov 6 (UNI) District Collector A Jayathilak today sought all possible co-operation from political parties to renew the voters list in the district.

Addressing representatives of various political parties, he said gram panchayats had been instructed to verify the draft voters list after convening meetings of the local bodies.

He said political parties could depue their representatives to special campaigns convened in each electoral booths on November 16 and 23.

Mr Jayathilak said the administration would ensure availability of draft voters list to political parties soon.

The meet was attended by T P Ramakrishnan (CPI-M), V Babu (Cong), M C Mayin Haji (IUML), T Achuthan (CMP), K T Narayanan (BSP), V Mohammedm (NCP), K M Nissar (Kerala Cong-B), T M Joseph (Kerala Cong M), Additional District Magistrate M T Bhaskaran and Election Deputy Collector K P Rama Devi, among others.
