Book Sadhvi, others under MCOCA: Naseem Siddiqui
Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) State Minority Commission chairman Naseem Siddiqui today demanded that all Hindu terrorists, who were arrested for allegedly planning and plotting the Malegaon blast on September 29 be booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Siddiqui said while the accused from the minority community were arrested on the charges of terrorism and placed under MCOCA charges immediately, why was there a delay now in applying the same charges on Sadhvi Pragya Singh and eight other accused of being involved in the Malegaon blast, in which six people were killed.
He said the Commission had written a letter to the Maharashtra government in this regard and a member of the Commission had also demanded the same while meeting Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil and he had assured that suitable action would be taken.
