BJP admits NCP natl sec, finalises candidates for Assy polls

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party national secretary Sukhbir Panwar today joined the BJP, owing allegiance to its policies and leadership.

Exuding confidence that the party would get a clear majority in the new Assembly, Mr Panwar said, ''Congress government's anti-people policy has compelled me to join the BJP which alone was capable of developing Delhi.'' Panwar was flanked by BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi V K Malhotra, state president Harshvardhan and party general secretary Arun Jaitley.

Meanwhile, the BJP today announced its entering into the 'chunavi sangram' with finalising its candidates for all the 70 seats, barring one, for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Delhi.

The party has yet to finalise its candidate for the Burari seat, said state party president Harshvardhan and added that this would be done in a day or two.
