Yeddyurappa invites Joshi to K'taka
Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today extended an invitation to Pandit Bhimsen Joshi to participate in a fecilitation function in his honour to be organised by the State Government at Vidhana Soudha.
Complimenting the legendary Hindustani classical vocalist on being chosen for the country's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna, he said Pandit Joshi has rendered great services in the field of Hindustani music and made Karnataka proud.
''As the second Kannadiga to win the coveted award after Sir M Visveswaraya, Pandit Joshi has lived up to his name,'' he said in his congratulatory message.
