Unidentified miscreants shot dead two in Nadia

Nadia, Nov 5 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants shot dead a CPM Panchayat samiti member and his wife at Patika Bari under Nakasi Para police station in the district early today.

Police said Mrinal Kanti Sarkar and his wife Namita Sarkar were fast asleep when miscreants entered their house and shot them dead.

The bodies were sent for postmortem, police informed adding raids were on to nab the culprits.

Meanwhile, the supporters of the CPM leader had blocked NH 34 passing throuh the area.
