Three drown during Chhat festival in Bihar

Katihar, Nov 5 (UNI) Altogether three people drowned at separate places while paying obeisance to the Sun God during Chhat festival in the district today.

Police said a youth lost his life when he drowned in the Ganges at Manihari while another was swept away by the turbulent current of Barandi river.

A person met a watery grave in a pond under Town police station area in the district.

All the victims were taking part in the rituals to offer 'Araghya' to the rising sun, police added.
