RBD palm oil, nigerseed ease; Groundnut, oil steady

Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) Prices of RBD palm oil and nigerseed fell today on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists, while groundnut and oil remained unchanged on scattered buying support by bulk consumers, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), Javas 60/70 rose by Rs 100 per quintal on good demand by local dealers. Castorseed Bombay and Disa also surged by Rs 100 per quintal on lesser stock supply by stockists.

However, nigerseed fell by Rs 50 per quintal on poor offtake by bulk consumers, traders said.

In oils (per 10 kg), RBD palm oil and cottonseed refined dropped by Rs two and Rs five per ten kg respectively, on sluggish demand by stockists. Castor comm and rapeseed ref slightly improved by Rs two and Rs five per ten kg respectively, on speculative demand.

In de-oiled cakes, undec cottonseed hiked by Rs 200 per metric tonne, traders added.
