President Pratibha Patil condoles death of filmmaker B R Chopra

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today condoled the passing away of the veteran filmmaker, B R Chopra.

In her condolence message, the President said,''an acclaimed filmmaker, producer and director, Mr B.R. Chopra shall always be remembered for his great films and serials such as the one on the epic, the "Mahabharat" which became immensely popular.

In his passing away, the nation has lost a creative personality and a legendary filmmaker.'' Minister of petroleum and Natural Gas, Murli Deora also expressed grief over the death of Mr B R Chopra.

In his condolence message, Mr Deora said,''in the death of Mr Chopra, country has lost one of its revered film personality who entertained the masses with his highly popular works.'' UNI AR SY BST1957
