Dhanalakshmi Bank's net profit up by 35 per cent
Kochi, Nov 5 (UNI) Dhanalakshmi Bank increased its net profit to Rs 18.30 crore for the six-month period ended September 30, 2008, compared to Rs 13.50 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, registering a growth of 35.56 per cent.
The bank's total income increased from Rs 170.73 crore, as at September 30, 2007, to Rs 208.05 crore as at September 30, 2008, recording a growth of 21.86 per cent, a release from the bank said here today.
Non-interest income increased from Rs 14.53 crore to Rs 23.31 crore during the period at 60.43 per cent.
The total deposits increased from Rs 3247.30 crore to Rs 3936.23 crore while total advances moved up from Rs 1978.31 crore to Rs 2549.36 crore during the same period. The year on year growth was 21.22 per cent in deposits and 28.87 per cent in advances.
