B R Chopra was Vyas Muni of Indian film industry: Deshmukh

Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh condoled the death of veteran filmmaker B R Chopra and described him as the ''Vyas Muni'' of the Indian film industry.

Mr Deshmukh, in a statement here, said Mr Chopra made several films with a social touch and on small screen his serial Mahabharat was a landmark.

He described the skilled filmmaker as mentor of veteran singer late Mahendra Kapur.
